Mars and Lunar-analogue research activities on Earth can benefit from prototype pressurized planetary suits that simulates many of the challenges future explorers will face during extra-vehicular activities on the Martian and Lunar surface. Since 2005, we have been developing several prototype suits at the UND Human Spaceflight Laboratory (www.human.space.edu).
